Updating outdated data in BE-Alert

Launch of BE-Alert

In the period 2015-2017 more than 100,000 people signed up for the launch phase of BE-Alert. At the time they gave us some data, such as their name, address and some contact details. Partly due to their cooperation during our launch phase, we were able to successfully activate BE-Alert in June 2017: since that summer, the number of registered addresses has reached almost one million!

Since the launch phase, BE-Alert has already been greatly improved and changed.
In this process more data were collected. For example, you can now choose your language preference and you can indicate if you want to receive messages about matters of general interest.

Update your data!

Because of these changes, there is now a difference between the data of those who registered during the launch phase, and those who registered later on. That is why Team BE-Alert will launch a series of communication campaigns in the autumn of 2020, asking people who have registered in the launch phase to register again.
This way we can make sure that the data are up-to-date and that the BE-Alert database is brought in line with the GDPR legislation.

By creating an account on our website www.be-alert.be, your data in our database will be updated.
From then on, you can decide at any time whether you want to keep, change or remove these data from the database.

We ask you to re-register before 30 January 2021.
If you did not register via www.be-alert.be by this date, you will no longer receive any BE-Alert messages.

How do I register?

You can create an account on www.be-alert.be by clicking on the big blue button "Sign up for BE-Alert". After you have entered your data, you will receive an email with a confirmation link.  By clicking on this link, you will have completed your registration. Your old data will automatically be updated  through this registration. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via the contact form.
